Temperatures had plummeted the afternoon of Canali’s second catwalk show in Milan, but once inside the arena editors were distracted by llana Yahav, a sand artist who introduced each theme of the collection with a beautiful sand picture.  The Canali collection has evolved for Autumn / Winter 2010, shapes, lines, style and creativity for both the urban man with an eye for a trend as well as the more sophisticated and romantic,  all finished with the unmistakable quality and luxury of Italian made clothing.  2010 also sees the launch of the Kei collection that now includes beautifully tailored suits and overcoats and the ‘Milano’ collection with its sharp tailoring and unmistakable metropolitan personality.

MILAN - MENS - AW10 - DAVID SHRIGLEY’S FILM FOR PRINGLE

Ok, so this is one of our fashion clients, so we could be a little bias… however we were gripped this morning, raised to the front of our seats (front row of course) and compelled to laugh out loud.

This artist, not only has he produced a fine short film but has helped to add to the Pringle collection a creative argyll knit, and for London watchers, you will be able to see this in the windows of the Pringle New Bond Street store during London Fashion Week in February.

Okay. So the dust has finally settled after Modus SS10 Press Day events and it’s time to get back to what’s really important. Friends, family and holiday cheer?

Don’t be silly, I’m talking about Modus looks of the week. The bone-chilling temperatures have done little to weaken the spirit of these Modus fashionistas – the truth is in the colours. Golden yellows and kelly greens, dancing florals and peek-a-boo stripes proved that hibernation is not an option this winter.

With December just around the corner, I’m sure you’re as curious as I am to see what sort of spin is taken on the traditional Christmas looks. Reindeer headbands, perhaps? Not a chance. At least not without a couple dozen glasses of eggnog first…

David Koma’s Celebrity Heaven

What an amazing few weeks for David Koma!  Three of the world’s most beautiful, talented and photographed women have shown their genuine admiration and support by choosing to wear David’s dresses for events across the globe within days of each other!
Not only did Cheryl Cole choose to wear a fabulous design from his graduate MA collection (bought exclusively at Browns) for X Factor – currently the most viewed programme on TV, the superstar and icon Beyonce wore a specially designed dress to collect her MTV Award for ‘Best Song’ at the EMA’s in Berlin.  These appearances led to a mass of hype and buzz, with coverage sparking ‘who wore it best’ debates everywhere!! 
Just last week Rihanna débuted his striking orange body con dress from the new Spring Summer ’10 collection for her performance at the launch of new cruise liner ‘Oasis of The Seas’

…we’re struggling to decide who wore what best, however we think David’s words sum up a great month, saying, ‘I’m a very happy man right now’!

Akris SS10 Press Day

After long weeks and hard work, the final Modus Press Day is now complete -and what a great note to finish on at Akris where invited guests previewed the Spring Summer 2010 collection
Akris’s signature statement was very apparent within the Spring Summer 2010 line alongside a new ‘sportif’ theme which was received tremendously well by the UK fashion press who attended.   
The Old Bond Street boutique was transformed into a tranquil minimalistic bliss with key pieces displayed throughout the upper level of the store. Akris’s seasonal look of sexy conservatism was apparent with deep V necklines, open backs and sharp architectural tailoring, but what everyone was talking about was the exclusive first collection of Akris bags.

Fine workmanship, meticulous detail, everything we have come to expect from the brand and nothing less.
