L’OCCITANE FLEUR CHERIE LAUNCH

image

It was a floral affair at L’Occitane’s Fleur Cherie fragrance and make up collection launch yesterday at the Jane Packer flower school.  To launch the new Orange Blossom scented collection the press were invited to brush up on their floral skills and create a beautiful hatbox display inspired by the delicious colours and scents of the range which launches in November.

Whist the orange blossom tea brewed, we all spritz the delicious Fleur Cherie scent and admired the delicately scented eye shadows, blushers and lip glosses before donning our L’Occitane aprons and creating some truly fabulous floral displays!

Everyone lucky enough to sneak a peek at the latest offerings from all our beauty brand’s collections were bombarded with fabulous ideas to gift to their loved ones and perhaps even a few little presents for themselves!

LIZ EARLE LAUNCHES HAIRCARE RANGE

image

Yesterday, after six years in the making, Liz Earle finally launched her highly anticipated Hair Care range.  Dubbed ‘Cleanse & Polish for the hair’, the range consists of one shampoo for all hair types and 3 conditioners – Normal, Oily and Dry/Damaged - mirroring the same ethos that was adopted 15 years ago when Cleanse & Polish first launched.

At the flagship King’s Road Liz Earle store, Liz, along with Jennifer Hirsch, the brand’s in-house botanist talked beauty press through the birth of the range and the task of testing over 100 different formulations to make sure it was perfect.
The only down side?  We will still have to wait a little while longer before we can get our hands on the finished products as it won’t be hitting the shelves until September!

PAUL & JOE BEAUTÉ CLAIR DE LUNE LAUNCH

image

For the launch of Paul & Joe’s beautiful A/W Claire de Lune Collection (translated as moonlight) we couldn’t take our fave journalists to the moon but we certainly tried to teach them to walk on it…

The press were invited to the famous Pineapple Dance Studio, where International Make-up Artist Craig-Ryan French introduced them to the stunning new collection; a combination of playfully chic packaging and an array of divine hues, which left them all utterly radiant. We then put on our dancing kicks and were taught the routine to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller,’ combined with the ‘Moonwalk.’ Suffice to say the event was definitely a ‘Scream’ – whilst we tried our best to copy the ‘Man in the mirror,’ our attempts at looking like a ‘Smooth criminal’ were more than a little…‘Off the wall… (enough puns for now – Ed)

THE L’OCCITANE GARDEN AWARDED RHS SILVER GILT MEDAL

image

The L’Occitane Garden designed by James Towillis has been awarded a prestigious Silver Gilt medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010.  All of the plant species featured in the garden grow naturally in Provence and the surrounding Mediterranean landscape and are the key ingredients L’Occitane’s best-selling product collections.

“I have enjoyed every minute of working on The L’Occitane Garden.  I have always been fascinated by the rich landscape of Provence - the wild bouquets of colour and texture that are unique to this area. The rich landscape provides the perfect inspiration for a Chelsea Flower Show Garden and gives a broad scope of planting opportunities.

NUXE PRESENTATION

image

Long have we secretly coveted the simplicity and elegance of French style, their ability to nab a certain sexy kohl-eyed American pirate and their sophistication when it comes to skincare.  So imagine our delight when MDW were approached by NUXE to represent the much adored and respected French beauty brand for the second time.

In the subterranean comfort of The Haymarket Hotel, MDW hosted a press breakfast to showcase the full NUXE offering including celebrity favourite Huile Prodigieuse and best sellers Baume Levres Réve de Miel and Crème Fraiche Serum.

The range is available from Space NK stores nationwide and we can’t wait to get our hands on all of it – well anything to help in the quest for our own Capt Jack!

JO WOOD ORGANICS…  EAU MY, HOW FRAGRANT!

image

Yesterday the glamorous green queen Jo Wood visited the Modus office to launch her two new sumptuous fragrances; Tula & Langa.

Press listened intently as Jo presented her enchanting new fragrances; tantalizing Tula with its delicate and exotic white floral scent, and refreshing Langa,  a bright and zesty fragrance.  This pleased even the most discerning of senses but the fact that the fragrances are made from pure organic ingredients and essences made them all the more divine.

Thus, in sum, the event was aromatic, beautiful, exotic, organic…  Eau so Jo Wood!
