Erdem SS08 Show

image

Staged at Il Bottaccio on Grosvenor Place Erdem’s collection fused femininity with coloured stripes and the ever present Erdem chiffon and lace.
50’s motorcycle jackets, Baltic peasant scarves and 80’s French vogue, it was all about contrast and placing things that wouldn’t normally fit together to create a stunning look.

Jens Laugesen SS08 Show

image

Following a successful S/S 2008 pre-collection show in Copenhagen, Jens Laugesen presented the second trilogy collection, Interior 2 at London Fashion Week today.
Inspiration came from 70’s glam rock and the innocent girls of David Hamilton. The collection has evolved and become more directional with fabrics such as gold lame, Swarovski crystals and of course, the signature Jens tuxedo!

Fashion, London Fashion Week and Runway Shows

Modus Dowal Walker London Fashion Week Diary

image

Everyone’s back safely from New York after another successful Fashion Week there, but there’s no time to reflect (or even breathe) as we’re in the midst of one of our busiest London schedules to date with eight shows in four days, all of which have their own unique demands and challenges, which of course we will confidently take in our stride without breaking into a sweat… Highlights include: Margaret Howell, Matthew Williamson and Giles Deacon.

Now, just how do we get a team across gridlocked London from one show to arrive before the guests at the next?

I’m afraid it’s a secret, and if we told you…

Nanette Lepore presented her spring 2008 ready-to-wear and shoe collection on Monday, September 10 at 11am during New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park.

Inspired by Picasso and his women, Nanette looked to these feminine muses to create a playful, passionate mood for the new season.  The collection’s color palette is comprised of lively, painterly prints in fuchsia, yellow and orange grounded in greys, curries and avocado.

The Lacoste SS08 Show took place last night at The Tent in Bryant Park New York.  The SS08 Collection is the start of the 75th Anniversary celebrations for the luxury sportswear brand and Christophe Lemaire did not disappoint, delivering a collection that drew on the tennis and golf heritage of the brand, right from its roots in the Basque country of southwestern France.

Look from the Etro Men's SS08 Show

Kean Etro

The Etro Spring / Summer 2008 show took place on Tuesday 26th June in Milan at their new show venue, The Ice Palace. Built in 1923, the Gothic building was once the largest ice rink in Europe. It was the perfect showcase for Kean Etro’s exuberant collection, inspired by the South American jungle. Bright clashing paisleys, checks, stripes and floral prints were teamed with coffee dyed cotton suits. The bright colours carried through to accessories - bow ties, socks, panama hats as well as shoes and bags. The prints and colours put a smile on the models faces; the boys at the Etro shows always look like they are having a lot of fun.
