Christophe Lemaire created 3 collections for SS 09 which includes Club which is very earthy, classic with flowing silhouettes. Sportswear is bright orange with reds and apricot towelling playsuits and cottons and a new and yet un-named younger range which is 60’s mod inspired, with elements of the famous cult 60’s TV show The Prisoner mixed with chequered jackets and bold colours of red, green and white.

Back at Bryant Park… New York Fashion Week SS09

image

It’s New York, it’s Fashion Week, we must be in… Bryant Park.  Despite grumblings from the park’s lease-holders about forcing it elsewhere, on Friday night there was nowhere else to be....

It’s the start of a busy week for the team, in addition to the shows there are presentations, launches and the event of the week - the Calvin Klein 40th Anniversary celebration.

Cire Trudon

image

Modus Dowal Walker were thrilled to introduce possibly the world’s coolest home fragrance range to the UK in July.

The launch of luxury French candle maker Cire Trudon at Liberty, took us back in time.  Cire Trudon, who made candles for the court of Versailles, and have supplied wax to the French elite, it’s courts and churches for over 400 years, showed a range of 12 incredible scented candles.

Under the idiosyncratic influence of “Creative Director, Ramdane Touhami, Cire Trudon has created imaginative and evocative scents, including LA MARQUISE, an homage to Madame de Pompadour and DADA, a celebration of the arts movement.
