Yesterday morning we were blessed with the presence of Robin White from philosophy who joined us for breakfast to fill us all in on the brand new miracle worker collection, which launches exclusively at Selfridges next week. The new miracle worker advanced anti-aging collection includes multitasking, cutting-edge skin care products designed to give you visibly revitalized, renewed skin with proven results in weeks.
Guests left armed with the new products to try, so get ready to see some serious anti-aging results as philosophy really can work miracles!

L’OCCITANE FLEUR CHERIE LAUNCH
It was a floral affair at L’Occitane’s Fleur Cherie fragrance and make up collection launch yesterday at the Jane Packer flower school. To launch the new Orange Blossom scented collection the press were invited to brush up on their floral skills and create a beautiful hatbox display inspired by the delicious colours and scents of the range which launches in November.
Whist the orange blossom tea brewed, we all spritz the delicious Fleur Cherie scent and admired the delicately scented eye shadows, blushers and lip glosses before donning our L’Occitane aprons and creating some truly fabulous floral displays!

PHILOSOPHY HOLIDAY GIFTS 2010
Christmas came early this week at 68 Dean St, as philosophy launched their Holiday 2010 Gifts. With gingerbread men and candy canes a-plenty, guests enjoyed sampling the utterly scrumptious scents of body lotions, shower gels and lip glosses. The infamous gingerbread man shower gel remained a crowd favorite, with the gorgeous ‘Under The Mistletoe’ set of lip glosses also being added to everyone’s letters to Santa!

ETERNAL GRACE AT DEAN STREET
As the morning sun filled the room at 68 Dean St, philosophy launched their newest fragrance ‘Eternal Grace’. Surrounded by stunning bouquets and storyboards depicting the life of an Eternal Grace girl, guests spritzed and sniffed the stunning new EDT, inducing sighs of delight to be heard all over Soho. Guests left with goody bags of the fragrance and shower gel, so now offices all over London are being filled with Eternal Grace as we speak (or blog).

PRESS DAY IS GO!!
It’s not even 10am and already it’s a hive of activity - press having their nails done by Nails Inc, make-up by L’Occitaine, and spray tans by St Tropez. It’s a one stop shop! The fashion displays look equally well groomed against the grand backdrop of the Westbury Hotel, and we can’t wait to see you all throughout the day…

IT’S ALL IN THE PREPARATION…
The above displays exactly how the day before Modus AW Press day is; chaotic, fun and above all, fashionable.
This morning at a not so glamourous hour, we arrived, coffee in hand, ready for the final preparations of our press day. Bags, boxes and shelves to name a few were moved to Washington House, transforming the venue into a haven for both fashion and beauty lovers. Our amazing team oozed buckets of creativity and drive in showcasing our beautiful collections.
So as the day draws to an end, all we can say is, well done Modus and to our guests……enjoy!

PRESS DAYS - ABOUT TO START THIS WEEK

If you happen to be walking down Heddon Street I’m sure you’ll hear a buzzing and a clattering coming from the Modus offices as the final preparations are underway for our AW10 Press Day.
Mannequins have been stripped bare, boxes cover the showroom and armies of garment bags await us but it is all worth it for the “oohs” and “ahhs’ that erupt in the office as the winter collections are unveiled.
So with less then a week to go until the big day the pressure is starting to build, but don’t worry, we have all relished the opportunity to plan our winter wardrobes – after all you can never be too prepared.

CALVIN KLEIN UNDERWEAR MODEL SEARCH - 9 COUNTRIES 9 MEN FINALIST APPEARANCES THIS WEEKEND!
After months of in-store castings at multiple retail locations across Europe and on-line submissions via the competition website, 9countries9men, the nine finalists have been announced and they include: England’s Laurence Cope, France’s Mickael Melcher, Germany’s Lenn Haberthaler, Greece’s Nikos Douramanis, Italy’s Carmelo Di Guardo, The Netherlands’ Chiel Konings, Russia’s Dan Miller, Spain’s Luis Ansa Echegaray, and Sweden’s Alex Bechet.
All of the nine finalists will be introduced to the public at two House of Fraser locations this weekend, where in-store voting will take place to help determine the ultimate winner of the competition.

CALVIN KLEIN HIGH SUMMER PRESS PREVIEW
Modus Publicity held the Calvin Klein High Summer Press day today at hip restaurant and bar Aqua Nueva on Regent Street where we presented Calvin Klein Collection Eyewear, cK Calvin Klein Eyewear and Calvin Klein Swimwear. After the swift set up - chic, classic and simple; the room was ‘Calvinized’ and we were ready to go!
The fresh spring morning was perfect for presenting high summer and the press began to roll in and continued to throughout day. The more press that arrived, the fewer sunglasses we had on our display as they quickly learned a pair were on offer… LET THE TRYING ON BEGIN!
The day went really well, we had a great turnout - press kept thanking us for treating them to a pair of sunnies and we were treated to a sneak peek at Pat Butcher and Peggy Mitchell from Eastenders who were filming outside the theatre adjacent to the venue!
