Matthew Williamson 10th Anniversary Show

One of the highlights of fashion week so far has got to be the surprise appearance of Prince performing live at the 10th anniversary Matthew Williamson show. Prince started singing from his front row seat, and then stepped onto the catwalk joining his backing singers and dancers. What a way to start a show! And how do you top that? With a fantastic collection of Aztec feel and tie-dye dresses and a plethora of ruffles and beading.

Erdem SS08 Show

Staged at Il Bottaccio on Grosvenor Place Erdem’s collection fused femininity with coloured stripes and the ever present Erdem chiffon and lace.
50’s motorcycle jackets, Baltic peasant scarves and 80’s French vogue, it was all about contrast and placing things that wouldn’t normally fit together to create a stunning look.

Following a successful S/S 2008 pre-collection show in Copenhagen, Jens Laugesen presented the second trilogy collection, Interior 2 at London Fashion Week today.
Inspiration came from 70’s glam rock and the innocent girls of David Hamilton. The collection has evolved and become more directional with fabrics such as gold lame, Swarovski crystals and of course, the signature Jens tuxedo!

Modus Dowal Walker London Fashion Week Diary

Everyone’s back safely from New York after another successful Fashion Week there, but there’s no time to reflect (or even breathe) as we’re in the midst of one of our busiest London schedules to date with eight shows in four days, all of which have their own unique demands and challenges, which of course we will confidently take in our stride without breaking into a sweat… Highlights include: Margaret Howell, Matthew Williamson and Giles Deacon.
Now, just how do we get a team across gridlocked London from one show to arrive before the guests at the next?
I’m afraid it’s a secret, and if we told you…
