MODUS LOVES… ADAM KIMMEL AND GEORGE CONDO WINDOW DISPLAY AT COLETTE

I couldn’t resist stopping and taking a few pictures of this window display at Colette in Paris on Saturday - these eerie creations are the work of artist George Condo for menswear designer Adam Kimmel for his AW10 collection presentation in February, and now sending shivers down the spines of passersby on Rue Saint-Honoré...

LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION POP-UP EXHIBITION

Walking down Carnaby Street this afternoon I came across the London College of Fashion Pop-up Exhibition, where you can “Sample a taste of what the School of Media and Communication at London College of Fashion has to offer”.
I love its demonstration of creativity through so many different forms of art. My favourite pieces were the 3-D photos where you put on a pair of glasses and everything pops out at you - very cool!
The exhibition is completely free, open seven days a week and runs until the end of September. Definitely worth checking out, details here.

‘SLEB STALKING AT THE GLAMOUR AWARDS

L-R from the top: Justine with... boxer David Haye, X Factor's Olly Murs, James Corden, Piers Morgan
Sarah and Olly Murs, Dru & David with Amanda Holden, Justine and Sarah with Amanda Holden
Justine certainly threw herself into the spirit of things last night, grabbing photo-ops with any passing celebrity she could get her hands on (or at least those who didn’t move fast enough!). Not to be left out, David and Dru made a beeline for Amanda Holden, closely followed by Sarah and of course Justine again…

ALLY CAPELLINO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS WITH EXHIBITION AT THE WAPPING PROJECT

Only on until 6th June - this walk down memory lane for me is a reminder of one person’s fabulous vision. Alison Lloyd aka Ally Capellino was one of the first people I met in the “fashion business” I think it was 1986…
I had bought some of her clothes at a sample sale, and we then met at a trade show. My twin brother Paul and I did a stint of modelling for the house - catwalk, brochures etc., and have been friends ever since.
Really interesting to see the progression of the brand from its 80’s clothing origins through to utility accessories collections today.

MODUS LOVES… ROB RYAN AT PICK ME UP

Caught up with Rob Ryan down at Pick Me Up. Rob has set up his studio down at Somerset House for 10 days.
Great to see his work on the walls and show people the process.
Spotted one of the Christmas Cards he made for us on the wall.

Hurry down there it’s only on until Monday.
Pick Me Up brings together graphic artists and the opportunity to buy
limited edition prints. My favourite was Mr Bingo’s Star Wars hair styles.
